    Brian, as I understand it I cant really buy a tub from you in Texas.....wondering if you can shine any light on whether an Aspen is worth the 10,000 price difference from the Chelsee? We have the Chelsea on hold, but the Aspen in the showroom is calling my name, but it is about $25K with all the extras (minus the sound system) and better financing.

    I am not an expert about hot tubs, and I feel like I know much more than this dude about bullfrogs: The value of the jet packs is not in their ability to be changed for each use?! The value is in your initial set up. You can customize exactly how you want your hot tub to be configured. ^ dude also didn’t mention the dramatic reduction in plumbing! Hard to believe he is either an expert and/or genuine.

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter 19 днів тому

      Good morning, Quiet mode or (Nt): This mode is designed to quiet your hot tub throughout the night. The pump and filtration system will not be working during this time. You can normally set this mode between 0.5 hours and 11.5 hours in half hour increments. With this being said, you need to set the hours to 0.5 or turn it off. You’ll need to enter the nt mode on the screen. Do you have your owners manual? Reason I ask is all hot tub brands are different and will require different sequences. I can help you but I would need to know the brand, model, and year. Furthermore, if your hot tub isn’t responding as it should a reset would most likely fix that. I’ll link a video below. Hope this helps!

    Have you tried the 2024 touch screen once wet?? No bueno!!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter 23 дні тому

      Good afternoon, yes I have. I really don't see an issue unless I total soak it with water. When I pull my hand out of the water wet it seems to work fine but if I totally soak it then yes it isn't as responsive as I would like. However, there's pros and cons to a glass LED touch screen. One of the biggest pros is that the screen will last much longer and tends to be much more durable than a traditional LCD touch screen. One of the biggest cons is when it really gets wet it's not as responsive. Another thing to consider is controlling it using SmartTub. I do find most of my clients don't even use the LED touch screen. You can control your hot tub using your phone, tablet, Alexa, Google Home, Apple watch, Android watch and other devices for ease of use. I guess I agree to a point but I don't find it to be a big issue personally. Hope this helps!

    I have a water softener for my home. Is it ok, or good, to fill my hot tub with soft water?

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter Місяць тому

      Good morning, in my opinion you can fill it with soft water but you still need to balance the chemicals accordingly. In other words, you’re going to have to bring the calcium up to at least 100ppm. Softened water will try to saturate itself with the calcium it is missing so you do need some calcium in the water. Hope this helps!

    • @jasonc9791
      @jasonc9791 Місяць тому

      @@atlantahottubcenter I own my own water company in Las Vegas (water softeners and reverse osmosis)...we deal and talk with gpg instead of ppm in hardness. We have the hardest water of anywhere in the country in Vegas. (15-16 gpg) When you calculate that to ppm of hardness it comes out to 250 ppm of hardness. You are saying you're water should be 100 ppm of hardness in the hot tub. I have the ability to put my water softener in by-pass while I'm filling up my hot tub, but that would be way too high of hardness. I guess my question is...what harm would soft water do to the hot tub? 0 ppm of hardness. Hard water can destroy your appliances and leave white residue everywhere. Wouldn't it do the same thing to your hot tub? Why wouldn't you want to have your hot tub willed with 0 ppm of hardness? Soft water isn't acidic...it's not reverse osmosis water. I just want to know what's the worst that can happen? I appreciate it!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter Місяць тому

      @@jasonc9791 really, it needs to be at 150ppm but 100ppm would be enough. However, hot tub water that is too soft can be corrosive to metal, while water that is too hard can cause scaling. It also leads to excessive spa foaming problems. Furthermore, softened water will try to saturate itself with the calcium it is missing and attacks things around it to leech that hardness. I don’t think it’s detrimental but you need some calcium in the water in my opinion. Hope this helps!

      Good afternoon, for 2024 it's hard to ignore the 880 series and it's new features. However, the Hamilton is a great hot tub. I think it comes down to what it is you value specifically that should drive your purchase. There is a pretty reasonable price difference between the two so make sure the 4 or 5 differences are worth it to you. I think either one is a great choice. Hope this helps!

      One last question from me! Would you consider doing reviews for specific models? There's usually the generic marketing short video that Sundance puts out, but I will say, having a person break down and provide certain quibs and insights about a tub in question goes a long way! Or perhaps a comparison vid pitching a 680 vs 780 vs 880 in same foot print or layout, that way as a potential buyer, we can weigh the pros and cons of upgrading or perhaps going down a model. Thanks again for all the vids!

    Hi Brian, I love your videos, thank you for your expertise! I am strongly considering an American Whirlpool 481 (Maax Spa) but can’t find a whole lot of reviews online. Of the reviews I have found some haven’t been glowing so to speak. For me, the dealer is a friend which makes me most comfortable. Have you had much experience with American Whirlpool or recommend one way or the other?

      Good morning, I have a local competitor in town that sells this product and he’s been very happy with it. I have some experience with the brand and they make a good unit. Hope this helps!

    As Sheldon Cooper said "jacuzzi is the brand name and hot tub is the general name. This means all jacuzzis are hot tubs but not all hot tubs are jacuzzis"

    Physics grad here - this question got me interested if the answer could be determined from first principles. I've managed to come up with a solution that should model well for indoor tubs where the outside temperature doesn't fluctuate too much. If anyone is interested, here is my calculation: drive.google.com/file/d/1HROjRzHpxYeVja-rLmE15f9FTk9IrqxK/view?usp=drivesdk

    I just priced the berkley 240v . Extra jets and extra pump, but for 8100 bucks its just not worth its short lifespan compared to a 680 or similar model. But i really liked how it looked with the suite package.

    I have the exact system you are showing on my Jacuzzi. The ballast has failed and cannot be replaced due to it going obsolete with no replacement available. Not happy.

      Good morning, I totally get it and that sucks. However, they’re continuing to innovate the product so it’s changed a few times for the better but some of the older versions went obsolete in the process. Sorry Dale! Hope this helps

    wonderful video. we are looking at a Jacuzzi Soul which were told by sales is made by Sundance, who is now under their umbrella (April 2024 is when I'm writing.) Is the Soul a Sundance product still but sold by Jacuzzi, and is it good value with few repairs if I take good care of it. Level deck, and all. finally, it's going to be beside my bedroom, so how loud at night if we keep it on to save on electricity. thanks so much. Great video as I said.

      Good morning, so there’s numerous brands all under the umbrella but they’re all very different. The umbrella is owned by Investindustrial. Jacuzzi and Sundance are very different and not the same brand. However, they both make a quality product and I think you’ll be very happy with your purchase. Hope this helps!

    Have you reviewed Mira Hot tubs?

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter Місяць тому

      Good morning, In my opinion Mira is like any other internet mass produced hot tub brand. This doesn’t make it a bad hot tub but it’s not a self supporting shell product. We have numerous videos showing the difference between self supporting and non self supporting shell products and I would do some further research. However, I don’t think Mira is a bad product by any means. This comes down to why you’re purchasing a hot tub. Hope this helps!
